Overview
When a user logs in to any product or module in the Trella platform, the features and content available to that user are determined by the role assigned in their user account. Account administrators set the role for each user when the user's account is first set up. As needed, an account admin can also change the role for a user.

Multiple Products
For users to have access to multiple products, you will need to add a role to their account for each product for which they need access. For detailed instructions for each product, see Creating and Editing User Accounts.
Trella Insights
There are seven available roles for Trella Insights.
You only need to assign a single role to a user to provide the appropriate access.
The names of the roles are:
Account Administrator - An account administrator can see all pages and do every type of task. This includes admin functions - add/edit user accounts, assign providers to reps, and set up of "My Agency" NPIs.
Sales Manager - A Sales Manager can see every page in Trella Insights, they are able to assign and delete providers from their sales reps.
Lead Sales Rep - This role is the same as the Sales Manager except that it does not allow the user to assign providers. Use this role when you would like your lead sales reps to identify new targets within their market from the Explore page.
Lead Sales Rep with Assignments - A user with this role has the same access as a Lead Sales Rep but can also assign accounts to other users.
Clinical - This role has identical access as the Lead Sales Rep role, but also include features of specific value to clinical leaders.
Operations - This role has identical access as the Lead Sales Rep role, but also include features of specific value to users with operational responsibilities
Payer Relations - This role has identical access as the Lead Sales Rep role, but also include features of specific value to users in payer relations
Focused Sales Rep - This role is the most limited in Trella Insights. Sales reps can manage their territory from the home page, drill down to the Analyze page for account planning and create presentations on the Engage Page. The Explore page is not available for a user with this level of access.
Observe that the "higher" roles have access to features provided to the lower roles. You only need to apply a single role to get the listed access.

Trella CRM
If you are looking at Trella Admin, the roles you will see in the roles interface for Trella CRM will depend on how the roles are set up Trella CRM. (See image below.)
For example, from the image, we can see that the business line for home health has a role called "Office Manager." In Trella Admin, this will appear as Home Health: Office Manager.
Trella CRM only
If you have access to only Trella CRM, you will see the following role in the list of Trella Insights roles - MS - Admin (CRM Only Users). This role is unique to CRM only customers and must be added to CRM users if they only have access to Trella CRM. This is done because log in authentication is managed by Trella Insights.
Strategy
If your company has contracted to have access to Strategy, you will need to add one of these roles to a user's account for them to log in to Strategy.
There is one difference between the two accounts as the role names imply:
- Strategy Standard User - has access to all Strategy features required to work with Strategy.
- Strategy Admin - has access to all Strategy features and can add/edit user accounts in Trella Admin.
Data Exports
Limiting Exports
No export roles will be assigned to users. Instead, ALL users will be able to export, but any exports done will be limited to five thousand providers from any table.
If you want to limit exports for a user, give them the Focused Sales Rep role, then they will not have access to the Explore page.
Enhanced Exports
If a user needs to have the ability to export all of the content in a table (more than 5,000 entries), this needs to go through an approval process. Make contact with your customer success manager.
SFTP Subscription Access
If your company has contracted to have access to our FTP download of the entire database, you will be able to add this to any users who will be working with FTP data.
