We’ve launched Marketscape, our unified Platform for Post-acute growth!
This article outlines what happens during the platform upgrade for our post-acute provider customers. If you don’t already have a date set for your platform upgrade talk to your CSM today! We’re now accepting customers into our October and November platform upgrade programs.
Our Marketscape platform upgrade is the set of changes that occur as a customer migrates from legacy (Playmaker) data solutions to Marketscape Insights. At a high level, two changes occur:
- Users will no longer have access to legacy PlayMaker products, including Market Insights and Target Watch.
- All purchased/contracted Marketscape platform products will be provisioned
The table below summarizes the changes you will see in the solution after the platform upgrade, based on the products you have purchased. The “Marketscape Insights Only” column is for customers that have purchased Marketscape Insights, but not Marketscape CRM. The “Marketscape Insights & CRM” column is for customers that have purchased both Marketscape Insights and Marketscape CRM.

Upon upgrade all users will access data via Marketscape Insights.
CRM will no longer be an option
Users can access data via Marketscape Insights.
Additionally, CRM users will see Market Spotlight and Sales Spotlight features within Marketscape CRM.

|Referral Source Ownership Assignment||Users can now make assignments in Marketscape Insights.||For release in late Oct. 2022: assignments from the CRM will overwrite all assignments in Marketscape Insights. Users can now capture assignments in Marketscape Insights and CRM.|

Marketscape Insights Data Access
The platform upgrade will give you access to a totally new world of data in Marketscape Insights.
Marketscape Insights is a product that reveals the aggregated flow of patients from medical providers - hospitals and physicians - to post-acute care providers with a focus on showing the referral potential between the "source" providers and the post-acute destinations.
When you first log in to Marketscape Insights, (and after choosing which module you want to view) you will land on your Home page.
Module - Marketscape Insights has four modules each with a specific focus:
- Home Health (HHA)
- Hospice (HOS)
- Skilled Nursing (SNF)
- Home Medical Equipment/Home Infusion (HME/INF)
Marketscape Insights User Interface
Although each module has some different metrics, the overall layout of the user interface is consistent across Marketscape Insights. The image and callouts below highlight important elements.
Global Search - If you know the name or NPI of the provider you want to examine, type it in this search field and click on the provider. You will then navigate to the Analyze page for that provider.
Navigation - The column on the left provides navigation to the main pages in Marketscape Insights. The order of these buttons makes sense and supports a workflow from discovery to deeper understanding to presenting metrics.
Providers - Each module includes different groups of providers
- Physicians - a potential source of patients
- Facilities (Hospitals, SNFs) - another potential source of patients
- Post-acute agency - aligned to the specific Marketscape Insights module - Destination home health, hospice, SNF.
Providers Table - Whereas the Explore page includes every provider with relevant claims submissions, the Home page includes providers marked for specific focus in your sales plan by you or your supervisor. You will find those providers in the table on the Home page.
Globe - Clicking on the globe icon will allow you to navigate to other modules to which you have access. Account administrators will also be able to navigate to the admin tools using the globe.
Resource Center - Clicking on the will provide access to helpful resources, including the Help Center. (See Tip)
Help Centers - Each module in Marketscape Insights has a Help Center of extensive (and growing) documentation to help you understand Marketscape Insights; the logic and workflow, the pages, the tables and the metrics.
Marketscape Insights in Marketscape CRM
The data from Marketscape Insights is spreading to Marketscape CRM. There is a new tab (see image) called Market Spotlight that has the data you need.

Cross Product Navigation
If you have access to both Marketscape CRM and Marketscape Insights, you can navigate between them with ease.
From Marketscape CRM to Marketscape Insights
Although the images below show an "Account" rather than a "Contact," all of the steps are identical.
To Navigate from Marketscape CRM to Marketscape Insights, you will need to be on the details page for an account or contact. With the Details page visible, the "View in Marketscape" tool is available.
Use the dropdown selector to choose whether you want to navigate to Marketscape Insights for Home Health or Marketscape Insights for Hospice for the selected provider.
Click on "Go." and a new tab will be opened in your browser with the Analyze page for your selected provider.
If you are working your Contacts/Accounts in Marketscape CRM, this link allows you to quickly view the detailed metrics for the selected provider without navigating away from the Contact/Account in Marketscape CRM.
From Marketscape Insights to Marketscape CRM
When viewing a provider's Analyze page, click on the "View in CRM" button to navigate to the appropriate tab in Marketscape CRM. Although the image below shows a home health agency, the "View in CRM" button is visible on every provider's Analyze page. (As long as you have access to Marketscape CRM.)
If the selected provider is one of your accounts or contacts, the information for that provider will be shown on the Accounts or Contacts page. If the provider from Marketscape Insights is not a current account or contact, you will be taken to the appropriate page, but you will see the following alert:
View in CRM is very useful when you want to quickly check on recent performance of the referral source in your CRM!
